View Box Score

RADNOR, PA –
The Cabrini men's tennis team closed its fall schedule today, as it welcomed Penn State-Berks to the Dixon Tennis Courts.  The Cavaliers finished the short season 0-3 after today's 7-2 loss to the Nittany Lions.

The freshman duo of Matthew DeMaria and Charles LaMantia earned the Blue and White's lone doubles point, scoring a 9-7 victory in the number two match.  Senior Sean Jaeger and junior Alijah Broadnax took their number one singles match to a tie-breaker before suffering a 9-8 loss.

The Cavaliers could not turn their fate during singles play. LaMantia scored the club's only singles point with his 6-0, 6-2 win at number five singles.

After splitting the first two sets by matching 6-4 scores, Jaeger carried his match to a third set before falling 10-5 in a superset.

The Blue and White will not return to action until March 14, when it opens the spring slate with a trip to Ursinus College.
