ANNVILLE, PA – The Cabrini men's soccer campaign came to an end today, as the Cavaliers suffered a 3-0 loss at Lebanon Valley College in the first round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament.
The loss closes the Blue and White's 2016 season with a record of 12-8-1.
Both clubs played an even opening 45 minutes, as the score sheet remained clean at the half.
The Dutchmen got on the board 52nd minute, before adding a second tally seven minutes later. Lebanon Valley sealed the win with its third goal of the afternoon in the 83rd minute.
The Cavaliers could not find their offensive flow in the second half, as it was outshot 12-4 after the break and failed to attempt a corner kick.
Junior
Jared Irwin led the Blue and White with two shots, while six others recorded one each. Senior goaltender
C.J. Serratore posted six saves in 85 minutes of action.
Cam Alexander led the Dutchmen (15-4) with a goal and an assist, while goaltender Cam Avery posted four saves.
With the win, Lebanon Valley advanced to tomorrow's second round game against Grove City, who topped Arcadia 4-0 today.
