La Plume, Pa. – The Cavalier men's tennis team earned a 5-4 win at Keystone today, improving the Blue and White to 2-11 on the year and 2-4 in the CSAC.
The Giants went 2-1 in doubles play. Sophomore
Alijah Broadnax and junior
Sean Jaeger scored an 8-0 number one doubles victory, but the Giants took the next two.
Broadnax continued his impressive week with a 6-2, 6-1 number one singles win to even the score at two apiece. Jaeger gave Cabrini the 3-2 lead after defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-2.
Juniors
Tyler Bond and
Bruce Overbay closed the door on Keystone, as they won numbers four and five singles matches, respectively. Bond scored a 6-1, 6-2 win, while Overbay followed with a 6-0, 6-3 victory.
The Blue and White looks to stay in the win column next week, as it travels to Reading, Pa. on Monday for a nonconference match against Albright College (1-11, 1-2 MAC Commonwealth) at 3:30 p.m.
