GLASSBORO, N.J. – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team rallied from a 6-0 first half deficit, pulling within three goals twice but couldn't get any closer, as it suffered an 11-7 loss at Rowan University.
The Cavaliers fell to 7-4 with the nonconference loss, while the Profs improved to 6-3 on the year.

Jess Breuning had a solid all-around game, posting three goals, three ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. Sophomore
Sasha Wozniak paired two goals and two helpers.

Mo O'Connell led the Blue and White defensive effort, causing four turnovers to go with a career high eight ground balls and two draw controls. Freshman
Katie Kucia added a season high six groundballs.

Megan Barlow recorded 10 saves, secured four ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Cabrini found itself in an early hole, as Rowan controlled much of the opening stanza, building a 6-0 lead with 6:20 left in the first half. The Blue and White got on the board 19 seconds later, as Breuning netted an unassisted goal.
Wozniak and Robinson added goals in the final minutes of the half, as the Cavaliers pulled within 6-3 at the half.
The Profs added two goals in the early minutes of the second half, pushing its lead back to five goals. Breuning's second goal of the night cut the Rowan lead back to four, before the Profs expanded its cushion to 9-4 with 15:25 to play.
Wozniak and Breuning pulled Cabrini back to within 9-6, as the duo tallied goals in a span of 34 seconds.
Rowan sealed the win with goals at the 11:06 and 8:50 marks, regaining its five goal lead. Crouse closed the scoring with a goal in the final minute of action.
Statistically, the game was nearly a dead heat. Cabrini owned a 28-25 advantage in shots, while Rowan's 21 shots on goal were one more then the Cavaliers. Both teams committed 28 turnovers and earned six free position shots.
Rachel Hofbauer led the Profs with four goals, an assist and four caused turnovers, while Megan Donnelly added three first half goals. Kelly O'Brien paired six caused turnovers and five ground balls. Goaltender Erin Horner posted 13 saves to earn the victory.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, as they will travel to Hackettstown, N.J. to face Centenary College (5-5, 4-1 CSAC). Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
