GLENSIDE, PA – The Cabrini women's tennis team notched its first victory of 2016 today, as the Cavaliers scored a 6-3 win at Arcadia University. The Blue and White evened it record at 1-1, while handing the Knights their first loss of the season. The win also marks the first for new head coach
Carol White.
The Cavaliers jumped out to an early lead, outpacing the Knights in three closely contested doubles matches.

Maggie Javitt scored an 8-6 win at number one singles, while junior
Stefanie Barkofski and freshman
Lucy Travers paired for an 8-7 number two doubles win. Sophomore
Katie Muska and freshman
Sydney Lynch completed the sweep with an 8-4 triumph at the number three flight.
The tight matches continued into singles play, where Cabrini and Arcadia split the six matches.

Lexi Douglass scored straight set wins at number five and six singles, respectively. Barkofski went to three sets to earn her number four singles win, sealing the win with a 10-8 victory in the decisive third set.
The Cavaliers will return to the court on Friday, when they open Colonial States Athletic Conference play at Cedar Crest College. First serve is slated for 3:30pm in Allentown, PA.
