RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini women's soccer team improved to 2-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference today, with a 2-0 triumph over Notre Dame of Maryland University at Edith Robb Dixon field.
The Cavaliers' third consecutive win improved the team to 3-5 overall and extended its CSAC unbeaten streak to 40 matches.
Despite posting just two goals, the Blue and White dominated the stat sheet. Cabrini recorded a season high 24 shots, including 11 on target.
Eleven Cavaliers attempted at least one shot, with junior
Taylor Tralie posting five, one more than senior
Allie Vallen and two more than freshmen
Alex Garces and
Payton Greene.
Cabrini also attempted 14 corner kicks in the win, while holding the Gators without a corner kick attempt.
Greene put the Cavaliers on the board in the 30th minute with her first career goal. Junior
Kelsee Tironi's shot bounced off the post, heading straight to Greene, who deposited the ball into the net.
Cabrini maintained its one goal advantage until the 59th minute, when junior
Brittany Runyen's cross found Vallen cutting to the net for the senior's first goal of the campaign.

Gabby LeGendre recorded her first career shutout, as the Blue and White defensive effort held the Gators to just two shots on the day.
Cabrini will look to continue its win streak on Saturday, as it visits Neumann University (5-4, 2-1 CSAC). Game time is slated for noon in Aston, PA.
