Glenside, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team lost a back and fourth match this evening to the Arcadia Knights. Originally suspended due to darkness at a 3-3 tie, the match picked up with No. 4, 5 and 6 singles.Â
Freshmen
Ben Mead (2-6, 6-4, 6-3) and
Chukwuma Duru (7-5, 6-0) battled in their respective No. 4 and 5 singles matches, highlighted by Mead winning the first set over his Arcadia opponent, but both ultimately fell.
Classmate
Tripp Como notched the Cavs fourth point as he picked up the 6-2, 6-3 win and moved his overall season record to 2-2 in the process.
At the time of suspension, the Cavs were locked in a dead heat with the Knights as the score was tied at three a piece.Â
Freshmen duo
Nick Falcone and Mead picked up the Cavaliers' lone victory in doubles play as the pair knocked off their opposition with an 8-5 decision in the No. 2 slot.Â
Senior
Alijah Broadnax (4-6, 6-2, 6-3) and freshman
Vince Paetow (5-7, 7-5, 7-6) both secured big victories in No. 1 and 3 singles, respectively to knot the Cavs at three a piece with the Knights before play was suspended.Â
Tonight's match marked the end of the men's tennis' fall season. The Blue and White will pick things back up in March, when they host Ursinus College on the 15th. Game time is slated for 3pm.
