Hackettstown, NJ - The Cabrini women's soccer team avenged their 2016 semifinal loss to the Centenary University Cyclones this afternoon as they upended the No. 2 seeded Cyclones by a 2-1 final to advance to the CSAC championship game.
In fact, the Cyclones had won the last two meetings with Cabrini as they scored a 3-0 victory during the regular season as well.
Senior
Taylor Tralie picked up where she left off from the Cavs' quarterfinal win over Immaculata where she collected six points on two goals and two assists. Tralie netted both goals in today's contest to give her 10 points in her last two games and bring her season total to 36 points.
With her 83 career points, 31 career goals and 21 career assists, the senior joins elite company in Cavalier history as she now ranks 3rd all-time in career points, 2nd all-time in career assists and is tied for 3rd all-time in career goals.

Brittany Runyen and sophomore
Katelyn Gilinger, kept the pressure on the Centenary backs as the Cavs held a 9-6 advantage in shots.
Tralie opened up the scoring in the 28th minute off of a misplay by the Centenary keeper to give the Blue and White the early lead. The 1-0 score would hold steady into the intermission.
Centenary would draw even in the 47th minute, however thanks to a strike from sophomore Sam Bombardiere.
Tralie and the offense capitalized on the stellar play of their defense and picked up the game winning goal in the 51st minute to swing the momentum back in favor of the Cavaliers. Tralie's second goal of the game came with an assist from Runyen and sophomore
Payton Greene and was launched from just outside the right corner of the 18 yard box.

Maria Hagan, was stifling the entire second half as they held the Cyclones to five shots, with just two coming on goal. The unit was able to effectively counter the Cyclones attack for the remaining 40 minutes of play to capture the 2-1 victory.
With the win the Cavaliers advance to the CSAC championship game this Saturday. The Blue and White will travel to Marywood Universtiy for a 1pm showdown.
