ASTON, PA - Cabrini improved to 2-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference and 3-4 overall with today's 6-3 victory at Neumann.
The Blue and White grabbed a slim one point advantage, scoring wins in two of the three doubles matches. Senior
Sean Jaeger and junior
Alijah Broadnax earned an 8-2 win at number one singles, while the freshman duo of
Charles LaMantia and
Matthew DeMaria earned a point with an 8-0 win at number two doubles.
The Cavaliers clinched the win with four wins in the day's six singles matches. Jaeger scored a 6-2, 7-5 win at the number two flight, while LaMantia claimed the number two singles match 6-0, 6-2.
DeMaria and sophomore
Nick Scaramuzza also won their singles matches, with DeMaria taking the number four match 6-0, 7-5 and Scaramuzza earning 7-6, 6-2 victory at number six singles.
Cabrini has little time to enjoy the victory, as it will return to the court tomorrow, as it visits Immaculata University (2-1, 2-0 CSAC). The CSAC unbeatens will meet at 3:30pm in Immaculata, PA.
