What's at Stake
Cabrini and Clarks Summit will meet in Friday morning's semifinal, with the winner to advance to Saturday's CSAC championship match. Â
The match will mark the Blue and White's second appearance in the CSAC Tournament over the last five years, while the Defenders have missed the tournament just once over the same span.
Cabrini and Clarks Summit have met just once in the CSAC Tournament, with the Defenders scoring a 5-4 win in the 2012 semifinals.
The Defenders have made two appearances in the CSAC championship match, suffering losses to Marywood in both 2011 and 2012. A win would put the Blue and White in the title match for the 11th time in program history and the first time since 2007.

Charles LaMantia won its number two match 8-0.

The Blue and White carried its solid play over to singles action, where it completed the victory with six straight set wins. Broadnax claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win at number one, while Jaeger scored a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the number two match.
DeMaria and LaMantia earned matching 6-0, 6-0 wins in the numbers three and four flights, while Tiley captured the number five match 6-2, 6-3. Scaramuzza completed the sweep with a 6-4, 6-0 win at number six.
Cabrini Last Time Out: Cavaliers capped perfect CSAC slate with 7-2 win at Gwynedd Mercy (4/12/17, Radnor, PA)
Cabrini completed its first undefeated conference schedule since 2001 and clinched the tournament's number one seed with its 7-2 win over the Griffins.
Cabrini grabbed an early lead with a pair of doubles wins. The number one duo of Jaeger and Broadnax improved to 6-0 in the conference with an 8-0 win. LaMantia and DeMaria earned their seventh league win with an 8-2 triumph.
The Cavaliers continued their solid play in the singles matches, claiming victory in all five. Broadnax rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win at number one singles, while Jaeger was pushed to a third set for just the second time all year. The senior rallied from a second set loss to take the third 6-2.
LaMantia, DeMaria and Scaramuzza cruised to straight set wins, dropping a combined three games in claiming the numbers three, four and five flights, respectively.
Clarks Summit Last Time Out: Defenders closed season with a 5-4 win at Marywood (4/12/17, Scranton, PA)
The Defenders punched their tournament ticket with a regular season ending 5-4 win over the Pacers.
Juniors Jason Muller and Ian Self earned Clarks Summit's lone doubles points, rolling to an 8-0 win at number two doubles. Trailing 2-1 as the singles matches began, the Defenders rallied to win four of the six singles matches, including three in straight sets.
Sophomore Nathan Hubbard, Self and junior Josh Eichelberger claimed straight set wins at numbers two, four and six singles. Sophomore Yancy Butler dropped his first number three singles set 4-6 and went to a second set tie breaker before sealing the match with a 6-2 third set victory.
