PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Cabrini men's tennis team continued its run through the Colonial States Athletic Conference today, as it claimed the program's first championship since 2001 and fourth title all-time with a decisive 5-0 win over Immaculata University at Philadelphia's Legacy Tennis Center.
The Cavaliers' sixth consecutive win improved the team to 11-5 overall, including 11-2 during the spring season. The victory completed an improbable turnaround from the 2015-16 season that saw the Blue and White post a 2-13 mark.
With the win, Cabrini also claims the league's automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Tournament. The Cavaliers will learn their NCAA Tournament fate on May 8, when the bracket is announced.
The Blue and White built an early cushion, as it claimed all three doubles points.

Charles LaMantia overcame a 2-0 deficit to score an 8-3 win in the number two match.

Nick Tilley completed the sweep with an 8-4 victory.
Needing just two more points to claim the title, the Blue and White continued its run as the day's focus turned to singles play.
Jaeger claimed the Cavaliers' first singles point and fourth point of the match, scoring a 6-0, 6-1 win in the number two match.
Broadnax and Scaramuzza were on the verge of closing their respective matches, but Broadnax finished first, completing a 6-1, 6-0 win at number one singles.
While the numbers three, four, five and six singles matched went unfinished, the Blue and White won the first set in each of the four incomplete matches and were tied or leading in the second sect of three.
