RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini softball team fell to 7-13 on the year today after dropping a pair of home games to Lebanon Valley College. The Dutchmen scored 7-0 and 4-2 victories over the Cavaliers, improving to 17-5 on the year.
In the game one loss, Lebanon Valley out-hit the Blue and White, 15-4. The Dutchmen plated two runs in the third, one run in the fourth and two runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Lebanon Valley's freshman hurler Maddie Abbot added nine strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched.

Alexandra Schell combined for the four Cavalier hits. Junior
Jess Giordano pitched five innings, allowing 13 hits and five runs.
An RBI single in the second inning put the Dutchmen ahead early in game two. Lebanon Valley added another run in the third, fourth and seventh innings to take a 4-0 lead heading into the final frame.
Staring at defeat in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Cavaliers rallied for two runs on three hits and two errors, before finding themselves on the losing end.
Schell singled up the middle, while junior
Chrissy Ferraro and sophomore
Marissa Alpaugh followed with a pair of singles to load the bases. An infield error on the third baseman advanced the runners, as Schell crossed home plate.

The Cavaliers capitalized once more on an infield error but a ground out the following at bat ended the run.
Ferraro went 1-1 from the batter's box and recorded three walks and one run scored. Junior
Victoria Hall led the team with two hits, while five other Cavaliers tallied a knock in the loss.
The Blue and White travels to Langhorne, PA
on Friday to play Cairn University (6-6, 0-4 CSAC) in a Colonial States Athletic Conference doubleheader. The day's action is set to begin at
3 p.m.
