Final Results
Wilkes-Barre, PA - After a strong opening round yesterday at the King's College Invitational, the Cabrini men's tennis team picked up right were they left off. The Blue and White played themselves into the final rounds of No. 3, 4 and 5 singles, as well as No. 2 and 3 doubles thanks to yesterday's performances.
At the end of today's second round action, the Cavaliers walked away atop the No. 3 and 4 singles brackets and No. 2 doubles.
In No. 3 singles, freshman
Nick Falcone def. Elizabethtown's Tyler Spinello 6-1, 6-2. Classmate
Ben Mead knocked off Josh Ferraro of DeSales University in No. 4 singles by way of a 6-0, 6-2 decision.
Freshman
Tripp Como fell in the final round in No. 5 singles to Austin Mackey of King's College, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles action, Falcone and Mead captured the Cavaliers' third and final first place finish of the Invitational with a decisive 8-1 victory over Elizabethtown's Ryan Caris and Tristan Boheim.
The Blue and White will take a two day breather before they return to action on Tuesday, September 19. The Cavs will host Alvernia University at 3:30pm.
