Women's Lacrosse Extends Win Streak with 15-0 Victory at Cedar Crest

ALLENTOWN, PA – The Cabrini women's lacrosse team improved to 8-5 overall and 7-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with today's 15-0 victory at Cedar Crest.

Nine Cavalier marked the scoring column today, as the Cavaliers won their fifth consecutive game. Junior Liz Hoeffner led the charge with five goals and an assist. Freshman Ashley Tutzauer chipped in with two goals and three assists with four draw controls.

Six Cavaliers scored one goal in the victory, including junior MaryKate Keenan, who netted her first career goal midway through the first half.

Junior Avery Murphy added seven draw controls and four ground balls to her two caused turnovers and an assist. Freshman Kathleen Emche notched three caused turnovers, four ground balls and a goal, while sophomore Sarah McCarron paired two caused turnovers with four ground balls.

The Blue and White defense surrendered just five shots on the day, with junior Devon Scharf and sophomore Noelia Ramirez called on for three saves in the win.

The Cavaliers controlled the action from the opening whistle, as senior Jackie Neary scored just 10 seconds after the opening whistle. The lead swelled to 10-0 at the 23:02 mark and 13-0 at the half, as Cabrini held the Falcons without a first half shot.

Amanda O'Neil paired nine ground balls and two caused turnovers for Cedar Crest (0-8, 0-6 CSAC), while Asia Adams scored a pair of draw controls. Netminder Kristen Payes recorded seven saves in the loss.

The Cavaliers will put their win streak on the line on Tuesday, as they welcome Arcadia University (8-5, 3-2 MAC Commonwealth) to Edith Robb Dixon Field.  The nonconference tilt is slated for 4pm.
