Radnor, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team ended their season with a 6-3 Senior Day victory over the visiting Keystone College Giants on Friday afternoon.Â
The Blue and White turned in strong performances across the board, highlighted by sweeping doubles play following a forfeit in the No. 3 slot.Â
Seniors
Maggie Javitt and
Stefanie Barkofski capped their time in the Blue and White with an 8-4 victory in No. 1 doubles. The duo have combined for 64 victories in doubles competition and 45 wins in singles matches during their time at Cabrini and have led the Cavaliers to 38 team victories, including three trips to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tournament.Â
Sophomores
Lattana Sithara and
Sydney Lynch, meanwhile, captured an 8-3 victory in No. 2 doubles.Â
Barkofski (5-7, 6-2, 10-0) and Lamarra (6-1, 6-3) would secure the team victory for Cabrini as they outlasted their Keystone counterparts in No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively.Â
Javitt turned in a terrific performance in No. 2 singles, but was ultimately edged by the Giants Rebecca Lewis who took the 5-7, 6-3, 18-16 match winner.Â
As mentioned, the Blue and White ended their season with the conclusion of Friday's match and finished with an overall record of 6-9, including a 4-5 mark against conference opponents.Â
