Box Score Reading, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team made quick work of the hosting Alvernia University Golden Wolves in Tuesday's afternoon match as they cruised to a comfortable 9-0 victory.
The win marks the Cavaliers first of the Fall season as they improve to 1-0 following the King's College Invitational.
The Blue and White started hot as junior
CJ LaMantia and sophomore
Vince Paetow captured an 8-2 victory in No. 1 doubles, while the sophomore pair of
Nick Falcone and
Ben Mead followed suit with an 8-2 win of their own in the No. 2 flight.

Chukwuma Duru coasted to a comfortable 8-0 win in No. 3 doubles.
Duru and Tilley made quick work in singles play as well, as the pair dropped just one set combined in the No. 6 and 5 flights, respectively. Mead (6-0, 6-3) and Falcone (6-2, 6-0), meanwhile captured decisive victories in the No. 4 and No. 3 spots to give the Cavs a 7-0 lead.
LaMantia and Pateo battled in flights No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, and came away with thrilling victories between the both of them. LaMantia edged his Alvernia counterpart by way of a 6-4, 6-4 decision, while Paetow used a 7-5, 6-4 decision to earn the win.
Cabrini will be back in action next Thursday as they host Arcadia University at the Dixon Tennis Courts. Match time is slated for 3pm.
