Cavs Can't Convert Scoring Chances in Scoreless Draw

RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's soccer team owned the stat sheet, but couldn't convert their scoring opportunities into goals as they ended in a 0-0 draw with Atlantic East Conference foe Immaculata University.

Overall, Cabrini held a 34-8 advantage in shots, including a 14-2 advantage in shots on goals, while also collecting 14 corners to the Macs' two.

Senior Katelyn Gilinger paced the offense with six shots, while classmate Alex Garces and junior Brianna Blair tallied five shots each. Junior Maria Hagan led the Cavs with four shots on frame.

Immaculata netminder Brooke Shissler anchored the Macs' defense with 14 saves on the afternoon, including a diving penalty kick save off the foot of Hagan in the 68th minute to preserve the tie.

Hagan's PK highlighted a handful of terrific opportunities for the Blue and White, but Shissler continued to be in the right place at the right time. The Cavalier attack was also denied once each by the post and crossbar.

The Mighty Macs narrowly missed a pair of goals themselves after also having two shots sent away by the crossbar.

Junior Ashley Tutzauer finished with a pair of saves, while the defensive unitl collected its third consecutive shutout.

Following today's match, the Cavs move to 9-2-2 overall and 1-0-1 in AEC play. They will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday, October 16th when they travel to Dover, DE to take on Wesley College. Match time is slated for 7pm.
