Box Score PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team picked up their postponed match against Jefferson University today at Legacy Tennis Center and were ultimately topped by a 6-1 final.
The Cavaliers battled throughout their matches, highlighted by back and fourth doubles action, but couldn't close out a tough Rams squad.
In doubles play, senior
CJ LaMantia and junior
Nick Falcone were narrowly edged 8-6 in the No. 1 flight, while juniors
Vince Paetow and
Ben Mead played to an 8-5 decision in the No. 2 slot. Senior
Matthew DeMaria and sophomore
Dalton Roberto were topped by an 8-4 final in flight No. 3.
The Rams collected victories in flights 2-6 in singles play. LaMantia highlighted the second half of competition with a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Jefferson's Christopher Machuzak in the No. 1 flight.
Follwoing today's match, the Blue and White move to 1-1 in the Fall season. They'll close out their Fall slate with a pair of matches on Saturday, October 19th against King's College and Drew University. Match times are slated for 9:30am and 1:30pm, respectively.
