Box Score 2 WILKES BARRE, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team capped their Fall slate with a pair of 9-0 losses against King's College and Drew University.
Against Drew, the Blue and White were swept in doubles play as senior
Sydney Lynch and sophomore
Raechel Aviles were topped 8-1 in the No. 1 flight. Sophomore
Zanaia Brown and senior
Lattana Sithara battled, but were eventually edged 8-2 in the No. 2 flight, while freshman
Natalie Bell and sophomore
Fanta Bility fell by an 8-4 final in the No. 3 slot.
Bell highlighted singles play with a team best six games won in the No. 5 flight, but was ultimately topped by a 6-3, 6-3 final.
Against the Monarchs, Sithara and Brown highlighted doubles competition with a team best three games won, while Aviles (6-4, 7-5) and Brown (6-2, 7-5) highlighted singles play with narrow losses against their King's counterparts.
Following today's matches the Blue and White round out their Fall schedule with a 1-7 record. They will pick things back up on Thursday, March 12th when they travel to Annville, PA to take on Lebanon Valley College. An early match time is slated for 3:30pm.
