Josh Cunningham scored a pair of second half goals to lead the Cabrini men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Marymount.
The victory secured the number one seed in the upcoming Atlantic East Conference tournament, a first round bye and home field advantage.
The Cavaliers' fifth consecutive victory improved the team to 9-7-1 overall and 5-1 in the Atlantic East Conference.
After a scoreless first half, the Blue and White struck in the opening minutes of the second half. In the 48th minute, sophomore
Nick Booth's corner kick found Cunningham for a one-timer, marking the junior's third goal of the season.
The duo struck again 11 minutes later. Once again, Cunningham found himself on the business end of Booth's corner kick service for his first career multi-goal game.
The Cavaliers outshot the visitors 16-9 on the day, including 7-3 in the first half. Booth led the club with three shots, while Cunningham joined senior
Chris Araujo and freshman
Matt Duddy with two shot each.
Junior goaltender
Anthony Zampirri posted four saves to earn the shutout.
Gabriel Psallidas led the Saints (9-9, 4-2 Atlantic East) with four shots.
The Cavaliers must wait until the conclusion of Saturday's first round matches to learn its opponent in Tuesday's semifinal round.
