IMMACULATA, PA - The Cabrini women's basketball team used a dominant first half to propel them to their ninth win in a row, this time over the Immaculata University Mighty Macs by an 80-59 final.
Four different Cavaliers tallied at least 14 points, led by sophomore
Kate Lannon's 18 points. Lannon was an efficient 9-of-14 from the floor and added seven rebounds and five assists.
Classmate
Ashley Tutzauer was right behind Lannon with 16 points, including a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc, while freshman
Kirsten Searcy and sophomore

Despite being down 6-to-8 midway through the opening stanza, the Cavaliers ended the quarter leading 20-13 thanks to a 14-to-5 run. A jumper from Washington sparked the run, while back-to-back layups from Searcy shifted the momentum in the Cavs' favor.
The Blue and White rode that momentum throughout the second quarter as they turned in their most dominant 10 minutes of the season. In total, Cabrini outscored the Mighty Macs 23-2 in the second, and held the hosts to 1-for-16 from the floor. The Cavs played through their defense as they forced eight turnovers in the quarter, which led to 14 points. At the end of the half, the Cavs held a commanding 43-15 lead.
With a comfortable advantage, the Cavaliers were able to coast through the second half, never letting their lead dip below 21 points.
Immaculata's Theresa Kearney and Natalie Ayoub led the offensive charge for the Macs with 11 points each and combined for 13 rebounds.
Following this afternoon's victory, the Cavs improve to 15-8 overall and 10-0 in Atlantic East play. They will return to the friendly confines of Nerney Field House for senior day on Wednesday, February 13th against rival Neumann University. Game time is slated for 6pm.
