Box Score COLLEGEVILLE, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team dropped a hard fought match against the hosting Ursinus College Bears this afternoon by a 7-2 final. The loss marks just the second of the season for the Blue and White.
Sophomore's
Nick Falcone and
Ben Mead were topped 8-2 in the No. 1 doubles, while junior
CJ LaMantia and sophomore
Vince Paetow were edged 8-6 in the No. 2 flight. Juniors
Nick Tilley and
Matthew DeMaria also fell by an 8-6 final in No. 3 doubles.
LaMantia and Paetow were topped by their Ursinus counterparts in No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, while Tilley was edged by a 6-4, 6-1 final.
Falcone handed the Cavs their first team point thanks to a 6-3, 6-1 decision in No. 4 singles. Freshmen
James Humes rallied for a 7-5, 6-1 victory in the No. 6 slot to round out the winners for the Cavaliers.
Following today's action, the Blue and White move to 5-2 overall. They'll look to rebound on Saturday, March 30th when they travel to Swarthmore, PA to take on the Swarthmore College Garnet.
