Box Score ROSEMONT, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team fell to the hosting Rosemont College Ravens this afternoon by a 7-2 final.
Junior's
Sydney Lynch and
Lattana Sithara collected one of the Cavs' two match victories as the duo topped their Rosemont counterparts in No. 1 doubles by an 8-4 final.
Freshman
Elizabeth Baddoo and
Alyssa Madden were narrowly edged in No. 2 doubles by way of a 6-8 final, while freshman
Fanta Bility and sophomore
Miranda Smith were topped 0-8 in No. 3 doubles.
Lynch battled in No. 1 singles, but ultimately fell by a 4-6, 1-6 final, while Baddoo was topped by Rosemont's Julie Capece, 0-6, 1-6. Sithara narrowly missed taking the first set in the No. 3 slot, but the Raven's Chase Leonard hung on for a 7-5, 1-6 victory.
Madden collected the Cavs final match win thanks to a 7-5, 6-4 decision in No. 4 singles. Smith and Bility were recorded 1-6, 0-6 and 1-6, 1-6 decisions, respectively to round out the Blue and White.
The Cavaliers will look to rebound following today's match when they host Ursinus College on Thursday, March 28th at the Dixon Tennis Courts. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
