Box Score ASTON, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team won their third match in a row this afternoon thanks to a 7-2 victory over Neumann University.
The Cavaliers swept doubles play as junior
CJ LaMantia and sophomore
Vince Paetow highlighted the sweep with a strong 8-1 victory in the No. 2 flight. Sophomore's
Ben Mead and
Nick Falcone worked for an 8-4 victory in the No. 1 slot, while junior
Matthew DeMaria and senior
Nick Tilley cruised to an 8-2 decision in No. 3 doubles.
The Knights picked up a pair of wins in No. 1 and No. 5 singles, but it was all Cabrini the rest of the way. LaMantia coasted to a comfortable 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles, while freshman
James Humes nearly matched LaMantia with a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the No. 6 slot.
Paetow took a 6-1, 7-5 decision in No. 3 singles, while Falcone rounded out the winners for the Blue and White following a 6-4, 6-2 victory in the No. 4 slot.
Following today's match, the Cavs improve to 8-4 overall and stay perfect in Atlantic East Conference play at 3-0. They will look to close their regular season with a win when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday, April 24 to take on the Griffins. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
