RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season tonight following an 8-1 loss to the visiting Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins.
The Blue and White battled across doubles play, highlighted by an 8-4 defeat in the No. 3 flight featuring sophomore
Miranda Smith and freshman
Zanaia Brown. Junior Syndey Lynch and freshman
Raechel Aviles fell by an 8-1 final in the No. 1 slot, while junior
Lattana Sithara and freshman
Alyssa Madden were topped 8-2 in the No. 2 flight.
Lynch led things off for the Cavs in singles play, but ultimately fell by a 6-1, 6-0 final, while freshman
Elizabeth Baddoo fell by a 6-0, 6-1 final in the No. 2 slot.
Aviles matched Lynch's final as she was also edged by a 6-1, 6-0 score, while Smith was topped 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 6 flight.
Sithara hung tough against the Griffins' Jen Eisemann, but was eventually retired after a 6-3, 6-3 final in No. 4 singles. Madden collected the Cavaliers' lone match victory as she used a tiebreaker to earn the win following a 6-0, 4-6, 10-2 final in the No. 5 slot.
As mentioned, following today's match the Cavs conclude their 2018-19 season with an overall record of 0-15 and an 0-4 mark in Atlantic East Conference play.
