LEXINGTON, VA – The Cabrini women's golf teed off its third season today, as the Cavaliers placed seventh at the Southern Virginia University Knight's Women's Invitational.
The Blue and White posted team score of 431 today on the par 72, 61,63 yard course at Lexington Golf and Country Club.
Sophomore
Vic Monterosso led the Cavaliers with a 30th pace finish in a field of 63 golfers. The sophomore posted an 18-hole score of 97.
Senior
Caitlin Bullock's round of 103 was good for 42nd, while sophomore
Gia Marrollo tied for 53rd after shooting a 115. Junior
Abigail Fricke placed 55th, posting a score of 116.
Bridgewater College captured the team title with a team score of 321, 29 strokes south of Shenandoah University.
Bridgewater's Savannah Scott shot a 74 to score a five stroke victory over teammate Jesse Bartley, Lynchburg's Elizabeth Self and Olyvia Longacre from Eastern Mennonite.
The Cavaliers will play a bit closer to home on Tuesday, when they compete in the Ursinus College Fall Invitational. Tee time is slated for 12:30pm at Raven's Wood Golf Club in Pottstown, PA.
