Box Score POMONA, NJ - The Cabrini women's tennis team fell by a 9-0 final this afternoon to the hosting Stockton University Ospreys.
The Cavs kicked things off in doubles play as senior
Sydney Lynch and sophomore
Alyssa Madden battled in the No. 1 flight. Lynch and Madden won a team best two games, but eventually fell by an 8-2 final.
Sophomore
Raechel Aviles and veteran
Lattana Sithara were topped by the Ospreys' Brie McCarthy and Hailey Johnson, 8-1, in the No. 2 slot, while sophomore
Zanaia Brown and junior
Miranda Smith fell by an 8-0 final in the No. 3 slot.
Singles play was controlled by Stockton as the hosts secured 6-0, 6-0 victories in flights one, two, three and four. Sophomores
Elizabeth Baddoo and
Fanta Bility rounded out singles competition for the Blue and White as both were edged by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively.
Following today's match the Cavaliers move to 0-3 on the season. Following a short break, they'll be back in action on Thursday, September 19th when they travel to Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
