Box Score PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team fell by a 9-0 final this afternoon to the hosting Jefferson University Rams.
The Cavs opened play in doubles competition where sophomore
Raechel Aviles and senior
Lattana Sithara highlighted the action after winning the Cavs lone game of doubles. Senior
Sydney Lynch and sophomore
Alyssa Madden took a 6-0 loss in the No. 1 slot, while sophomores
Elizabeth Baddoo and
Fanta Bility also fell by a 6-0 final in the No. 3 slot.
Aviles put an exclamation point on singles play for the Blue and White after taking Jefferson's Elisa Hardeski to three sets. The sophomore was eventually outlasted, however as Hardeski came away with the 6-7, 6-3, 10-1 victory.
Lynch, Sithara, and Madded all fell by matching 6-0, 6-0 scores, while Baddoo and Bility were topped 6-0, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0, respectively.
Following today's match, the Cavs move to 0-4 overall. They will look to rebound when they travel to Reading, PA to face Penn State Berks on Monday, September 23rd. Match time is slated for 3:30pm.
