READING, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team claimed their first victory of Fall season with a rain-shortened 5-3 final over Penn State University Berks.

Miranda Smith cruised to an 8-0 final in No. 3 doubles, while sophomore

Lattana Sithara collected an 8-2 victory in the No. 2 flight.
The Cavs nearly swept doubles play, but a narrow 8-6 Berks victory over senior

Alyssa Madden put the Lions on the board.
Penn State Berks went on to collect singles wins in the No. 1 (6-0, 6-2) and No. 2 (4-6, 6-0, 6-4) flights, but
Alyssa Madden, along with sophomores
Elizabeth Baddoo and
Fanta Bility claimed victories in flights No. 4 (6-0, 6-1), No. 5 (6-0, 6-0) and No. 6 (6-0, 6-0).
Following today's match, the Cavs improve to 1-4 overall. They will look to run their win streak to two when they host Cairn University on Wednesday, October 2nd at 3:30pm.
