ASTON, PA - The Cabrini women's tennis team closed their Spring slate with a convincing 8-1 victory over the Neumann University Knights this afternoon.
The Cavs swept through doubles competition as the duos of junior
Raechel Aviles and sophomore
Sydney Kesselman in the No. 1 flight, and sophomore
Natalie Bell and freshman
Kara Bradl in the No. 2 flight won by matching 8-3 finals. Sophomore
Paulina Repollet and senior
Miranda Smith capped doubles play with an 8-0 final in the No. 3 slot.
In singles play, the Cavs only loss came in the No. 1 flight as Neumann's Hannah Asaka topped Aviles by a 6-1, 6-3 final. Bell highlighted the singles action as she completed a thrilling come-from-behind victory by way of a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 final.
Bradl and Smith combined ot lose just one game as they tallied a 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 win, respectively.
