RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini softball team continued its winning ways today, as the Cavaliers improved to 8-0 with a pair of home wins over Immaculata University. The Cavaliers rallied from a four run deficit in the opener to earn a 13-5 victory before an incredible 12 run, fifth inning explosion in the night cap to secure a 16-13 come from behind win.
Game 1: Cabrini 13, Immaculata 5
The Cavaliers fell behind early as Immaculata's Keani Hindle blasted a three run homer in the top of the first inning. Cabrini began chipping away at its deficit in the second, when freshman

The Mighty Macs got the run back and added another, building a 5-1 lead after opening the frame with three consecutive base hits.
Cabrini wasted little time rebounding in the bottom of the third, plating five runs on six hits. The first eight Cavaliers at the plate in the inning reached base, with freshman

Casey Scheuren and Barbera driving in runs to give the home team a 6-5 lead.
Cabrini's expanded its advantage in the fourth, as
Kaitlyn Martin blasted her first home run of the season, a two run shot over the left field fence. The Blue and White added two more runs to its lead in the fifth, a Cintron deposited an Immaculata offering over the left center field wall for a two run homer, her first of the season.
The Cavaliers put the game away in the bottom of the sixth, as the first three batters reached base before

Kaitlyn Martin, Cintron and Gugel tallied three hits each for the Cavaliers, with Martin driving in three runs and scoring three times. Barbera also recorded three RBI, one more than Cintron.
Freshman hurler
Avery Byrnes improved to 4-0 on the season after scattering eight hits with six strikeouts.
Game 2: Cabrini 16, Immaculata 13
Again, the Mighty Macs got off to a good start, building a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Cabrini cuts its deficit in half in the bottom of the frame Kaitlyn and

Amber Seamen.
Immaculata expanded its lead in the third with three runs, highlighted by a Paige Gerst two run blast to right field. The senior added another RBI in the fourth, as Immaculata's lead swelled to a seemingly commanding 8-2 midway through the fourth inning.
Everything changed in the bottom of the fifth inning, when the home team erupted for 12 runs on 12 hits, including eight straight hits to open the inning.
In total 16 Cavaliers stepped into the batter's box during the inning, with five players recording two hits in the frame. Seamen led the way with a double and a two run homer with three RBI, with Scheuren adding a pair of doubles.
The Cavaliers entered the fifth inning with a 14-8 lead, but the Mighty Macs had an answer of their own. The visitors pulled to within 14-13 after Hindle's three run homer and Kaitlyn Carter's two RBI single.
Cabrini added a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth, as Barbera clubbed a solo home run, the first of her career. Cintron then reached on a bunt single before advancing to third on an Immaculata throwing error before scoring on a Gugel ground out.
All nine Cavaliers batters recorded at least one hit and scored at least one run, with eight posting at least one RBI. Seamen matched a career high with four hits, while driving in three runs and scoring three times, while Cintron and
Allison Martin added three base knocks each.
Sophomore pitcher
Grace Stairiker went five innings, improving to 3-0 with the victory, while Byrnes collected her second save in as many days after two innings of relief.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Friday, as they head north to face Marywood (2-0). First pitch of the Atlantic East Conference doubleheader is scheduled for 3pm.
