RADNOR, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team claimed their fourth consecutive conference championship this afternoon following a dominant 5-0 match victory over Immaculata University at the Dixon Tennis Courts.
With their conference championship win, the Cavaliers also capped off their perfect season, finishing with an undefeated 6-0 record, including a 4-0 record in Atlantic East Conference competition.
Senior
Ben Mead and sophomore
Mason Bennetch, who was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player, cruised through No. 1 doubles following an 8-2 final over the Mighty Macs' Jason Watts and Michael Chartier. The senior duo of
Max Schneider and
Dalton Roberto matched their teammates with an 8-2 final of their own in the No. 2 slot, while junior
Ryan Calderaro and sophomore
Tien Tran used an 8-4 final the No. 3 flight to give the Cavs the early 3-0 match lead.
Bennetch picked up where he left off in No. 2 singles as he breezed past Immaculata's Michael Chartier thanks to a 6-0, 6-1 final. Schneider secured the championship for the Blue and White after topping the Macs' Matt DeHaut in No. 3 singles by way of a 6-2, 6-0 final.
As mentioned, today marked the fourth consecutive conference championship for the Cavalier men's tennis program, while also capping a perfect season, resulting in an unblemished 6-0 record.
