IMMACULATA, PA - The Cabrini men's tennis team secured the conference's No. 1 seed in the upcoming AEC tournament following today's 7-2 victory over Immaculata.
The victory also gives the Cavaliers a perfect 4-0 record for their spring season.
Senior
Ben Mead and sophomore
Mason Bennetch earned an 8-3 win in No. 1 doubles, their fourth doubles win on the year. Seniors
Max Schneider and
Dalton Roberto cruised through the No. 2 slot with an 8-0 win. The Mighty Macs picked up win in the No. 3 slot after a Cavalier forfeit.
Mead earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory in No. 1 singles, while Bennetch breezed through the No. 2 slot after a 6-1, 6-0 final. Schneider matched Bennetch with a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the No. 3 flight, while Roberto tallied a 6-1, 6-2 win in the No. 4 slot.
Junior
Ryan Calderaro capped the Cavs' singles action with a 6-1, 6-2 win in No. 5 singles.
As mentioned, the Cavs capped their Spring season with a perfect 4-0 overall record and matching 4-0 conference record. They will now turn their attention towards the Atlantic East Conference Tournament where they'll carry the No. 1 seed into competition.
