RADNOR, PA – Tonight's men's basketball action came down to the final seconds, as the Cavaliers scored a tight 70-68 win over the Immaculata Mighty Macs on junior
Ryan Byars' lay-up with four seconds to play.
After leading by 17 points midway through the first half, the Blue and White lost its way late in the first half. Immaculata closed the opening stanza on an 8-2 spurt and continued the spurt after the halftime break, scoring the first 13 points of the period. With 16:15 to play, the Cavaliers found themselves down 45-39.
Cabrini kept the Mighty Macs within reach and slowly chipped away at its deficit, eventually regaining the lead at 49-48 on sophomore

The Blue and White held the lead over the next several minutes extending its cushion to 58-51 on a three by senior
Brice Parks with just over nine minutes to play.
This time it was the visitors who battled back, leveling the score on a three by freshman Dylan Crews with 5:05 on the clock.
The Mighty Macs regained the lead at 68-66 on a pair of free throws at the 2:52 mark before the Cavaliers turned to their defense. Cabrini forced a pair of empty Immaculata possessions before Byars recorded a steal and found freshman
Donoven Mack for a lay-up to tie the score at 68 with 48 seconds to play.
Following a timeout, the Cavaliers again forced an Immaculata missed shot, as Bailey's rebound gave Cabrini a chance for the last shot. With just a handful of ticks left on the clock, sophomore
Aquil Stewart drove the lane, finding Byars on the left block for the game-winning bucket with four seconds to play.
The Mighty Macs had one last shot, but again it was Cabrini's defense that stood firm, as Jones swiped the Immaculata inbounds pass just before the final buzzer.
When it mattered most, the Blue and White defensive effort was up to the task, holding the Mighty Macs to just four points on 1-7 shooting with four turnovers the final five minutes.
Cabrini pressured the Mighty Macs into 25 turnovers on the night, two shy of their season high, and converted them into 23 points. Despite being outrebounded 46-33, the Cavaliers also dominated the paint to the tune of a 46-22 advantage in points.
Four Cavaliers scored in double figures tonight, led by Jones' 16 points. Stewart finished with 14 points and nine assists, while Byars tallied 14 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Parks added 11 points and joined Jones and Bailey with five boards each.
Senior Brandon McCullough led the Mighty Macs with 19 points.
Both teams will have little time to dwell on tonight's result, as the clubs will meet again in 48 hours at Immaculata's Alumnae Hall. Tip is slated for 8pm.
