Cavaliers end regular season with 7-0 shutout over Griffins

Gwynedd Valley, PA. – The Cabrini University women's soccer team ended its regular season Wednesday night as the Cavaliers topped Gwynedd Mercy 7-0 on the road. 

The Cavaliers (13-5-0, 6-1-0 AEC) had seven different goal scorers on the night. Mia Dills put Cabrini out in front in the 5' on an assist from Danielle Rooney as that was all the Cavs needed on the night. Four Cavaliers netted unassisted goals while Riley Underwood found the back of the Griffin net and assisted Natalie Morris' goal in the 50'. 
 
All seven Cabrini goals were scored in the first half of action. 
 
The Cavaliers defense held the Gwynedd Mercy to just two shots on the night as Cabrini goalkeeper Caroline Hassall made saves on both shots. 
 
With the win, the Cavaliers secured the 2-seed and will host a semifinal round game on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at a time to be determined.
