Men's Swimming in second after Day One of Diamond City Invite

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Cabrini University men's swimming team sits second out of nine teams after Day One of the Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College.

The Cavs have 104 points, 41 behind first place Bridgewater College and six in front of Hood after two events.

The opening event – the 200 yard medley relay – saw the team of Kenny Lok, Jeffrey Travers, Matt Seifried and Colin Taggart finish with a time of 1:43.56. That earned the Cavs 50 points, as they were less than a second out of fourth place.

In the lone individual event – the 1650 free – Seifried was second with a time of 17:42.81, including a 27.49 on his first 50 yards. He earned 28 points for Cabrini, while Chris LaBianco was fourth with a time of 18:35.34 – earning 26 points. His fastest 50 was 29.25 in the opening lap.

Cabrini is back at it Saturday morning with two sessions planned for the day.
