GWYNEDD VALLEY, PA – The Cabrini University men's tennis team earned its first win of the season with a commanding 8-1 Atlantic East Conference victory on the road versus Gwynedd Mercy University Griffins, improving to 1-5 on the season and 1-1 in AEC play.

The Blue and White jumped ahead earning all three doubles points with a pair of victories and a win by default. The pairing of senior Max Schneider and freshman Modest Donacien earned an 8-3 win in flight No. 1. Seniors Ryan Calderaro and Jonathan Papp followed suit with an 8-2 victory in the second double match.

The Cavs rallied off four straight wins in singles play as Schneider, (6-0, 6-1), Donacien, (6-1, 6-0), Calderaro, (6-0, 6-1) and Papp, (6-4, 6-3), all bested their Griffins counterpart in their respective singles matches.

The Cavaliers will look for their second win of the season this Wednesday, April 13^th, as they host the Marymount University Saints in another AEC match.
