RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini men's tennis team fell to Penn State Brandywine 4-3 this afternoon at the Dixon Tennis Courts.
The Cavaliers dropped both doubles matches, falling behind 2-0 entering single splay.. Seniors Max Schneider and Ryan Calderaro suffered an 8-6 loss at the number one flight, while junior Tien Tran and freshman Trung Tran fell 8-2 in number two doubles.
The Blue and White earned the No. 5 flight win by default before Calderaro and Trung Tran scored singles victories to clinch the match.
Calderaro claimed the number two singles match by a score of 6-4, 7-5, while Tran battled into a third set before earning the 6-1, 5-7, 10-5 win.
The Lions claimed victories in the two remaining singles matches to claim the 4-3 victory.
The Cavaliers will turn their attention to Atlantic East Conference play on Wednesday, as Cabrini will visit Gwynedd Mercy University. First serve is slated for 3:30pm in Gwynedd Valley, PA.
