RADNOR, Pa. – Cabrini junior forward Ella Marrollo scored two goals, both in the second half, as the Cavaliers (4-2) got back in the win column with a 3-0 win over Widener (2-3-2) on Wednesday night in women's soccer play.
Marrollo scored in the 85th and 89th minutes, on almost identical passes from junior forward Danielle Rooney as the Cavs had a 18-8 shot advantage.
Cabrini took a 1-0 lead in the first half when freshman forward Gabby Palladino scored on a blast from 20 yards out with just 3:31 left until halftime.
Freshman midfielder Alyssa DeGeorge also assisted on Marrollo's first goal as her quick pass found Rooney who then found Marrollo.
Sophomore goalkeeper Caroline Hassall made five saves in net to post a clean sheet.
Cabrini heads to Lebanon Valley on Saturday.
