RADNOR, PA – The Cabrini men's soccer team could not take advantage of its chances, falling to 0-2 on the young season after today's 1-0 loss to Delaware Valley at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
The Cavaliers outshot the visitors 26-6, including 17-2 in the second half, and recorded 10 corner kicks, but could not find the back of the net.
The Aggies scored the day's lone marker in the 21st minute, as Thomas Fitzsimmons found Dan Arone.
The Blue and White defensive unit then shut down Delaware Valley, surrendering just two shots over the remaining 68 minutes of action.
Cabrini's best chances to even the score came in the game's final 10 minutes. The Cavaliers recorded six shots, including five on target during that time. Among the chances was a saved penalty kick and rebound save in the 83
rd minute that kept the home side scoreless.
