RADNOR, Pa. – In their first meet of 2023, the Cabrini University men's swimming team had some strong times in a 107.5-60.5 loss to local rival Ursinus on Friday afternoon.
Tommy Ronayne picked up a first-place finish in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:59.39, nearly four seconds over Stephen Lyons of Ursinus. He was also second in the 100 fly at 55.31.
Matt Seifried was first in the 500 free at 5:00.42, while
Michael Gray picked up a first-place finish in the 100 breast at 1:03.25. Gray was also second in the 50 free at 22.12.
Mac Granto was second in the 200 free at 1:49.31 and tied for second in the 100 free at 50.54.
Jeffrey Travers was second in the 100 breast at 1:07.59, and fifth in the 100 free at 54.48.
In the lone relay event, Cabrini was second in the 200 medley at 1:42.68. The team was comprised of Gray, Granto, Seifried and
Colin Taggart.
Kenny Lok was third in the 100 back at 1:00.41, and fourth in the 200 IM at 2:11.26.
Fourth place finishes were garnered by Seifried in the 200 free at 1:49.98 and Taggart in the 50 free at 22.58.
