ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. – On Day Two of the 2023 Atlantic East Conference Men's Swimming Championships, the Cabrini University swimming team captured three gold medals, remaining third heading into the final day of competition.

Tommy Ronayne, Matt Seifried and Michael Gray each won their individual events as the Cavs now have 358 points, just 56 points behind second-place Saint Mary's College of Maryland. Marymount leads the way with 502 points.

Ronayne picked up his second individual gold medal of the weekend, winning the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:06.60, setting a new meet and conference record – that he set in 2022 with a time of 4:09.24. He shaved four seconds off his preliminary time of 4:10.66. His winning time was nearly eight seconds faster than runner up Robert Shively of Saint Mary's.

Seifried won the 200 free with a time of 1:44.54, a half second ahead of second-place finisher Trevor Cairns. Mac Granto picked up a third-place finish in the event at 1:46.03.

Gray – sporting the Philadelphia Eagles Fight Song as his walkout music – won the 100 breast at 58.90, nearly one full second ahead of Jair Jackson of Saint Mary's. Jeffrey Travers was fifth in the event at 1:03.91. Gray shaved two seconds off his preliminary time at 1:00.42.

In the 100 backstroke, Kenny Lok was fourth in the event at 57.85, while Colin Taggart was fifth at 58.69.

In the two relays, the team of Gray, Granto, Seifried and Ronayne were second in the 800 free at 7:04.02, while the team of Lok, Travers, Seifried and Taggart were third in the 200 medley at 1:41.82.

The meet concludes on Sunday.
