LANCASTER, Pa. - In the first round of Atlantic East weekly awards for spring 2024 sports, Cabrini saw five athletes earn recognition. The Cavaliers swept the baseball honors, as
Zack Brook and
Hunter Kraiza took Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week. Both men's lacrosse nominees were mentioned, as
Bear Evans claimed Defensive Player of the Week and
Griffin Ganster landed on the honor roll. Men's basketball was also included, as
Bryan Warren's defensive efforts earned him an honor roll selection.

Brief Outlook of Week: Brook had a monster performance in Cabrini's 13-3 win over Cairn. The right-handed outfielder crossed the plate 3 times and had 3 extra base hits with a homerun and two doubles. Brook supplied another run, hit, RBI, and a stolen base against Rosemont on Sunday. He also recorded 3 putouts in left field in each of the Cavs' two games this week.

Name: Hunter Kraiza

Brief Outlook of Week: Kraiza took the hill for Cabrini on Friday Feb. 16 against Cairn, pitching three scoreless innings and earning the winning decision. He'd strike out three batters and force three groundouts while allowing just one hit and two walks in the process.

Brief Outlook of Week: In the Cavaliers' season-opener, Evans disrupted Haverford's attack on numerous occasions, forcing 3 caused turnovers in the 17-10 victory.Â
Weekly Honor Roll:
Griffin Ganster (Jr., Midfield, Cabrini): Ganster led the offensive charge for Cabrini in their season-opening win, scoring 4 goals on 4 shot attempts. The junior midfielder also assisted the Cavaliers' first goal as part of his 5-point game.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Bryan Warren (Fy., Guard, Cabrini): Warren had a 7 steal, 15 rebound week to close out the regular season. Warren had 11 rebounds and 3 steals in Wednesday's overtime loss to Immaculata and earned 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and a block in Friday's low-scoring affair with Marywood.
