Olivia Little Breaks Program Record as Cavaliers Usurp Bears

With 5 goals and 3 helpers at Ursinus, Liv Little becomes Cabrini women's lacrosse's all-time points leader.

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Cabrini University women's lacrosse team mounted a successful comeback against Ursinus College, claiming the 16-11 non-conference victory. The Cavaliers trailed the Bears by as much as 4 goals, but a second quarter push gave Cabrini momentum they'd carry for the remainder of the contest. 

Cabrini improves to 4-1 on the season, as the Cavs are set for a 5-game home stretch beginning on Wednesday afternoon against DeSales.
  
Goals
Olivia Little led all scorers with 5 goals, while Neve Murphy and Caroline Gallagher each had 3. Shea Neary added 2 as Cassidy Starner, Morgan McClintock, and Whitney Hershey all chipped in with one.

Defensive
-A season-high six Cavaliers earned multiple caused turnovers: Caroline Gallagher led the way with 5, followed by Olivia Little with 4, Shea Neary and Moira Ward with 3 apiece, and Alyssa Kolasa and Olivia Pace each earning 2.
-Shea Neary led all field players with 6 ground balls, followed by Morgan McClintock's 4, Caroline Gallagher and Alyssa Kolasa's 3, and Olivia Little and Neve Murphy's pair. 
-Abbey Fenton recorded 8 saves en route to her fifth winning decision on the year.
  
Program History
With 3:26 remaining in the second quarter, Olivia Little's unassisted goal tied her with Kelli Romano, each with 333 career points in a Cavalier uniform. Just 36 seconds later, Liv added the helper on Neve Murphy's goal, giving Little sole possession of Cabrini women's lacrosse's all-time point record. She collected two more goals and another assist in the second half, bringing her career point total to 337 by way of 196 goals and 141 assists.
 
Up Next
Cabrini women's lacrosse is set to host DeSales University at 4pm on March 20th. Wednesday's game will be the first of a five-game slate at Edith Robb Dixon Field.
