Most Outstanding Male & Female Student-Athlete Award

Cabrini's Most Outstanding Male and Female Student-Athletes Awards were renamed in honor of former head coach Mitchell Kline and former Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. David Dunbar in 2016.

Mitchell Kline led the Cabrini softball team for four season (2013-16) before losing his battle with cancer in 2016. Under Kline's direction, the Blue and White went 91-68, advancing to the Colonial States Athletic Conference championship games in 2013, 2014 and 2015 and appearing in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament each year.  Kline was named 2015 CSAC Coach of the Year after leading Cabrini to a 27-12 campaign, including a 19-3 mark in conference play.

Dr. David Dunbar named Faculty Athletic Representative in October 2011 and held the position until his tragic passin in 2016.  As Cabrini's FAR, Dr. Dunbar represented the College's academic faculty in athletic administration and worked on behalf of Cabrini's student-athletes regarding academic issues. Dr. Dunbar came to Cabrini in 2001 and quickly gained a reputation for getting the best out of his students. Among others, Dr. Dunbar taught Introductory Biology Lab, Cell and Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, and Developmental Biology at Cabrini, as well as working with students on a myriad of biology and environmental science projects.
