Lisa McGregor

Lisa McGregor is in her second season at the helm of the Cabrini softball team. 

In her first season in the Cavs dugout, McGregor guided Cabrini to a 12-25 finish overall and an 8-12 mark in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (PAC) play.

Under McGregor's tutelage, two Cavalier student-athletes garnered All-PAC distinction in 2007. Shortstop Kristie Sandefur claimed first-team recognition after batting .350 with nine home runs, ranking second in the PAC, and tallying 31 RBI. Outfielder Melissa Benedetti earned second-team honors with a .343 hitting clip, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored.
 
Prior to joining the Cavaliers, McGregor spent one season on the coaching staffs at both Saint Lawrence University and the Pennsylvania College of Technology. 
 
A four-year member of the University of Pittsburgh softball team, McGregor helped the Panthers advance to the program’s first-ever NCAA Tournament in 2006. McGregor earned BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors in 2005 and was also named to the Pitt Scholar-Athlete All-Academic Team. She served on both the Student-Athlete Leadership Team and the Pitt Panther Game Plan Leadership Team and was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Academic Achievement Blue Club. 
 
A graduate of Spring-Ford High School, McGregor was named the 2001 Female Athlete of the Year and was twice honored as the Pioneer Athletic Conference MVP. McGregor led the team to PAC-10 Championships in both 2000 and 2002 and received the Joseph J. Wherley MVP award as a senior.
 
McGregor earned a bachelor of arts degree in sports and recreation with minors in coaching and aquatics from Pittsburgh in 2006. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport and athletic administration from West Chester University.
