Zach Woods enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Cavaliers in 2019-20.
Woods played at Arcadia University as a relief pitcher under head coach Ken Spangenberg before transitioning to second base in the Senior EDCO league where he was recognized as an All-Star during his last season.
Woods obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2015 from Arcadia University and later became a baseball coach at MapleZone Sports Institute. While coaching, Woods became a graduate student at Capella University where he earned a Master of Science degree in Psychology, specializing in Sports Psychology. Ultimately, he would like to advance his career in sport phycology by earning his certification in mental performance consulting (CMPC).
Woods will serve as the mental skills coach for the Diamond Cavs, while assisting the pitching staff and the reserve squad.
