Al McDonald will begin his sixth year on the Cabrini men’s basketball coaching staff in 2022-23.
McDonald oversees and schedule recruiting visits and is an active recruiter for the program in South Jersey and Pennsylvania.
McDonald brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to the Cabrini staff. Throughout his life, McDonald has been very active in youth leagues in his hometown of Barrington, N.J. He has coached numerous sports including basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball. He also ran the youth basketball and baseball leagues in Barrington for many years.
A former student-athlete himself, McDonald played two years of collegiate baseball at Camden Community College. After receiving his Associates degree, he moved on to Glassboro State College, now Rowan University, where he graduated with a degree in Business.
McDonald currently works in Sales Management in the food industry, where he has over 35 years of business leadership experience.
McDonald has five children, including Cabrini head coach Tim McDonald, and seven Grandchildren.
