Diane Humes Green is in her first season as the head men and women's swimming coach at Cabrini. Humes Green boasts more than 15 years of coaching experience from the beginner to national and collegiate levels.

Humes Green has served as assistant head swim coach, and assistant swimming and diving coach at the Ridley YMCA since 1996. She has played an integral role in building the diving program into one of the top programs in Delaware County. Humes Green is responsible for planning practice plans, maintaining proper techniques and recruiting.

Humes Green is being elevated to head coach at Cabrini after two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach with the Cavaliers. She has also served as head girls’ swimming and diving coach at Springfield (Delco) High School since 2009.

Humes Green earned a full scholarship for swimming at the University of Maryland. She is a two-time national champion at the Junior and Senior levels in the butterfly. Humes Green’s 200m butterfly time in 1984 qualified for the Olympic trials.

Humes Green replaces former Cabrini head coach Mike Kernicky, who helped usher in the men (2006-07) and women’s (2003-04) swimming programs at Cabrini.
