Andrew Schaefer is in his first year as an assistant coach with the men's soccer program in 2016-17.

Schaefer is a 2016 graduate of Randolph-Macon College, where he was a four year varsity letterman. A team captian as a senior, Schaefer was a team captain and leading the team to its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) tournament appearance since 2011.

Schaefer is a native of Allentown, PA, where he attended Emmaus High School. At Emmaus, he was a team captain as a  senior year and led the team to Lehigh Valley Conference titles in 2008 and 2010.
